NEW BRUNSWICK PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM

New Brunswick is one of Canada’s three Maritime (eastern) provinces along the Atlantic coast.  New Brunswick is the only province in Canada that include both French and English as its official languages; French is the first language for 30% of the population.

Through the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP), prospective immigrants with the right skills and experience may receive a New Brunswick Provincial Nomination Certificate.  The NBPNP consists of the following immigration streams: Express Entry Labour Market Stream, Entrepreneurial Stream, Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream, and Skilled Workers with Employer Support Stream.

Express Entry Labour Market Stream requires applicants to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) and to meet basic eligibility requirements:

  • have a valid Federal Express Entry profile
  • currently living AND working in the province
  • current employment in NOC 0, A or B
  • CLB 7 in all 4 abilities
  • valid Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)

Entrepreneurial Stream was created for experienced business owners and senior managers who wish to become business owners in New Brunswick.  Basic eligibility requirements include:

  • having an eligible connection to the province
  • being between the ages of 22 to 55
  • CLB 5 in all 4 abilities
  • minimum of 2 years full-time post-secondary education
  • minimum net worth of $600,000 of which $300,000 must be liquid
  • at least 3 years of experience managing and owning at least 33 1/3% of a business OR 5 years of experience in a senior business management role
  • intent to permanently live in New Brunswick
  • investment of at least $200,000 to establish a business in the province

Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream was created for international students who graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in New Brunswick.  Basic eligibility requirements include:

  • being between the ages of 22 to 40
  • CLB 7 in all 4 abilities s
  • having resided in the province during academic studies
  • owning and operating a business in New Brunswick for at least 1 year
  • a valid PGWP
  • intent to permanently live in New Brunswick

Skilled Worker with Employer Support was created for applicants who have received an indeterminate full-time job offer from an employer in New Brunswick.  Basic eligibility requirements include:

  • being between the ages of 22 to 55
  • sufficient English and, or French language ability
  • having education, qualifications and, or license needed to fulfill job duties
  • intent to live and work in New Brunswick
  • genuine offer of employment that is in an area of skill shortages

If eligible criteria have been met, candidates will be assessed according to section criteria for five factors: age, language proficiency, education, adaptability and work experience; applicants must score at least 50 points on the assessment.
